Louis was the first person I knew to start working with a power meter. In this book he uses this scientific and coaching experience to explain clearly and simply how to get the best out of yourself by training with a power meter. -- Rob Hayles, winner of two track cycling World titles and three Olympic medals.

About the Author
Louis Passfield is an applied sports scientist and an academic with expertise in training and elite performance. He is a consultant for the English Institute of Sport and has worked as sports scientist with the British Cycling team preparing for a number of Olympic Games. Rob Hayles is an Olympic track and road racing champion cyclist.

Great Primer with Coverage of the Finer Points Too

I found this to be an outstanding first read on the subject. The basics are covered well and a good mid-level view of the more advanced topics are touched on too. You won't get any hardware reviews in here (I didn't need that as I have already made my choice) so don't look for that info here. All-in-all exactly what I wanted...something to educate me quickly but thoroughly. The Hunter Allen book will probably be what I buy next if I want to go deeper in to this topic. But for now, I can talk the talk and benefit on the bike with my training.
